Interclub competition is open to all Hardy Rocks and gives an opportunity for our members to play against and at other clubs. The number of clubs that participate each season varies sometimes as clubs have scheduling or mechanical issues. However the clubs that are usually involved including ourselves are: Laval, Royal Montreal, Pointe Claire, St-Lambert, Glenmore, Rosemère, Ville Mont Royal, Hudson Whitlock, Lachine, Montreal West and Baie D'Urfé. Being one of the smaller clubs we have successfully teamed up with other clubs in the past such as Saint Anne, Rosmère and Montreal West so that the number of teams we required was reduced.
This is a fun way to play against teams from outside our club and to get to visit those clubs. Games are played for the most part on Fridays and and consists of one game on that day that starts at 10am and is followed by a lunch together with the opposing team. The lunch costs $20 each to be given to the skip and we all chip in $5 each to whoever drives that day. The season is usually wrapped up at Ville Mont Royal where all the clubs get together to get the prizes and have a special game (having 6 sheets of ice makes this a fun event).
